Day 10 Occupy MCR

Another great 24 hours...We had visitors from Yorkshire last night who drove up to give us soup! All that way they came! Awesome that so many are with this movement...There's a big weekend ahead; Everywhere seems to be 'going live' on the 15th, occupancy's taking place, marches planed...Occupy London Stock Exchange, am sorry to miss this now as it was planned we were to attend however since arriving on Sunday 2nd we didn't go home and have no plans to either.

We had bad news last night, there was a food stall on the food market and the tent blew up last night and injured 3 people, one of the reason they wanted us to vacate Albert Square was due to health and safety; It was extremely lapsed when we went there on the Thursday last, no safety was in place to prevent injury to the public. On Sunday night one of the directors threatened violence toward group members also...

We have had visits today from a single mum who is being threatened by social services for CHOOSING not to have HER child immunized....We have had a guy today from some political movement who wants to organize a demo with us at weekend...We have had a man and lady who have brought food and tobacco....The support from the public does not waver at all, Thank you guys YOU ARE AMAZING...We Are the Many; they are the few; We stand up for Me and You....Please don't forget our address and post on to us flyer's and posters :) Peace n Love xxx

Day Nine OccupyMCR

Not posted yesterday as we were really busy. We held our 1st public assembly in which we had around four public members joined; more public was there, around 10...Things brought up was health care Brought on by (BLOCK THE BRIDGE which happened yesterday)... Social service abuse of children...Government by consensus was brought up and people commented how well they feel this works... The movement is global with around 70 countries and 1200 camps now up (occupations)...OCTOBER 15th is is international non compliance day, marches, strikes, disobedience all over the world...Members of society who help people in there day to day life i.e nurses carers should be more financially and morally supported. The first time in history that movements globally have joined as one, the revolution has begun...Discussions about wars and how we can stop this...Lots of good things passed between us and people were interested and extremely supportive.

We have had three drops of food from the local Indian of curries and stir fry...(Lovely :))...We have had two drops of hot pies from Hollands (Yummy), a huge pan of curry brought from a member of the public and last night we cooked our first meal :)A wkd veg stew with pulses and barley :)...A good idea for cooking is to bring a barbecue (large one) with gas bottle as it last longer than the mini ones.....We have two new permanent members (Yeahhhhh) and much support from the public :) Everything's good here on camp even though its raining we are all in good spirits....Peace n Love :)Oh we got a battery for charging now as well...

Day 5 evening part 2!

Note: forgot to tell you remember to pack waterproofs and wellingtons. Today we have had hailstone, thunder, rain, and predicted 65mph winds. We are surviving, we are winning!

Day 5 evening

Quick update. Very tired, windy, rainy, and busy. Note for occupiers to be: take small steps, gather momentum, don't take on too much. On a better note, three new occupiers, three more tents... Interviewed by Real Radio 105.4 fm, tune in tomorrow morning. We've had 5 pizzas delivered today, 2 giant jugs of soup, also 20 portions of chicken and chips bought by members of the public for dinner. Beautiful people, beautiful land, let's save it. Good night and god bless.

Peace Gardens
St Peters Square
Petersfield
OccupyMANCHESTER
M2 3
UNITED Peopledom

We have had visitors (new ones) today who have donated some wonderful flags...Thank you x We have frequent visitors though what I like so much is the repeat visitors we have, they bring us sandwiches and flasks of tea daily x You people are super stars n thank you :)

We now have a visitors book and a some point we will start sharing their kind words of support. Feel free to drop by and add you own comments :)

Last night I was verbally abused by a large number of what seemed to be Tory members and supporters...As I walked past a pub I was shocked to see the large number's (250+) of men pouring alcohol down their necks and asked if they thought it was alright to use tax payers monies in this way?; I was then meet with comment 'fucking dog' I again asked if they felt it was acceptable to spend the monies in this way; again more abuse was shouted and I approached them and told them I think your the dogs, you steal, you murder and have obvious drink issues...at that point got surrounded by 20 police and run through the police system and released...It was crazy, I'm still left wondering why it was me who was questioned and not the guys committing offences?

Anyways in a rush now want to get back to the front line; Will update further this evening x Peace :)

P.S If anyone has anything they want displaying please post to above address and we will do...I will add pictures (fingers crossed) tonight x
